The Delphinus Constellation contains the following notable stars: Aldulfin, Musica, Rotanev, Sualocin
Notes:
- Aldulfin: Shortening of Arabic: ذنب الدلفين ḏanab ad-dulfīn ('tail of the dolphin').
- Rotanev: < Venator reversed (Niccolo Cacciatore > Nicolaus Venator, responsible for 1814 star catalogue)
- Sualocin: < Nicolaus reversed (Niccolo Cacciatore > Nicolaus Venator, responsible for 1814 star catalogue)
- Musica: Latin for 'music' (the ancient Greek musician Arion's life was saved at sea by dolphins (delphinus) after attracting their attention by playing his kithara)
